Cesar Millan is a Mexican-American dog trainer famous for his TV series, Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan. He has also written three books, which have been a good success in the market. He was married to Illusion Millan but later, got divorced. Cesar was married to Illusion for about 16 years and she initiated the divorce, in 2010. Cesar attempted suicide as he could not cope up with the fact that his marriage life is over. He is now with his new girlfriend, Jahir Dar who lives with him and his younger son.
Many sources say that his wife was paid a hefty sum of 400 thousand dollars and a monthly 33 thousand dollars to keep the stories about their private life, away from the media. The divorce settlement paper also revealed that she is not supposed to expose any information about their marriage life, sexual relationship or any other personal details like photos, videos or other materials.

In an old interview with the media, his wife stated that he had a hard time in loving her because he was so much attached to his pets and he was not a people’s person. After the birth of their first son, she had a gall bladder surgery and he never visited her in the hospital. On the day she came back home, he was very much with his dogs than with her. In the same interview, he said that the man’s work is to earn money to feed for the family. She accused that if he did not get what he wanted, he was verbally very abusive and would start screaming.

He referred her as a strong and stubborn woman. She said that he focused on her wrongs, in a hope that she will become submissive. However, things took the other way round and she left him. After she left him, he called her back, to ask her if they could get back together. She agreed with the condition of counseling. During the therapy she said that she did not want him to treat her like a property and claimed that he never said that he loved her. He claimed that she would expect him to be patient and cuddling when she is upset but she does not do that, when he is upset.

On the bright side, he said that his wife is an expert in the emotions and she motivated him to move on in his career. She, on the other hand, said that her husband broadened her world. When his favorite dog, Daddy, died in 2010, his wife also left him. The divorce news came to him as a shock, when he was in England. Unable to cope up with two big losses, he attempted suicide with over dosage of drugs but was rescued and was hospitalized. Today, after two years, he has Junior to fill the void of Daddy, his new girlfriend and his job to make his life go smoothly. He also has special plans to surprise Jahira with a marriage proposal. Though everything is set in the right place, nothing could actually fill the empty space Daddy has left in his heart.

The Founder of Community and International Development Group

Laila Rashed Iskandar Kamel is a force to be reckoned with, indeed. She founded the “Community and International Development Group” in 1995 to help garbage collectors in Cairo become entrepreneurs and not just scavengers. She now serves as Minister of State for Environment Affairs under the leadership of Prime Minister Hazem El Beblawi. She has regaled the world with her heart for service; although she has never experienced poverty, having been born into a wealthy family, it did not keep her from spending a good year of her life aiding the marginalized population of Coptic Christians living in the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt.

Before she began serving the government of Egypt, she was first the Volunteer Field Director for the Rag Recycling Center at the Association for the Protection of the Environment. She has written books and articles telling the public and the government how they can best keep Cairo clean. In an article she wrote in 2009, she suggested:

“The sustainable waste- collection system advocated here includes the following features:

- A return to door-to-door collection;

- The need for public- awareness campaigns in the media, among NGOs, at schools and so on, asking residents to divide their waste into organic and non-organic materials;

- An end to the distribution of plastic bags, since these are bad for the environment;

- Payment for the service from government and municipal finance;

- The organisation of unemployed young people working in the waste- collection sector into small teams, companies, or cooperatives to serve low- income neighbourhoods;

- The introduction of unemployed young people to a "clean collection" and recycling trade that includes sorting, recovering, processing and trading;

- The extension of credit and electricity to all small and medium-sized collectors and recyclers;

- The issuing of licences according to neighbourhood;

With the founding of CID Consulting, she was able to put her vision to practice. She was also behind the schools and other livelihood industries in Mokattam. Prior to that, she received the “Goldman Environmental Prize” in 1994. In 2006, she received the “Schwab Award for Social Entrepreneurship.”

WHY MACKENZIE BEARUP IS EXTRAORDINARY

Mackenzie Bearup is the founder of the non-profit Sheltering Books, which gives away books to kids in homeless shelters and other facilities in the hope of igniting their love for reading. Bibliotherapy was what made coping with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome possible for Mackenzie. Back when she was only 11 years old, Mackenzie’s left knee swelled, prompting her to wear a cast. But long after her knee was back in shape, the pain remained. There’s no cure, she just has to live with it for the rest of her life.

FOUNDER OF SHELTERING BOOKS

Mackenzie’s grandfather was a double amputee. Although he was stricken with severe pain due to arthritis, she never heard him complain. He was her inspiration. But Mackenzie was destined to do something for humanity even before she developed her lifelong illness. When she was three years old, she asked her mom to fill her Easter baskets with candies so she could give them away to other kids.

She also went door to door to collect footwear for a homeless shelter with her mom. It was not that surprising for Mackenzie to think of putting up an organization that enables her to be of help to others.

"I knew that reading distracted me from my pain. I told my doctor this and she told me about the Murphy Harpst Children’s Center in Cedartown, Georgia. It’s a home for some of the most abused children in the country. They built a library, but had no books. My doctor asked me what I did with my books I no longer needed and asked if I would mind donating them. I decided that I had to do more than that. I asked all my friends and neighbors if they had books to donate. I spread fliers around my community asking for book donations as well. Before I knew it, I was swamped with books! I filled their library to capacity at 11,000 books! I realized that if they needed books, then other places that helped children would need books too. It did not take long before the media picked up her story. She was featured on TV shows and national publications. In 2010, she was named one of CNN Heroes. Although she did not make it to the Top Ten, Mackenzie was honored to be recognized for her noble cause. The Biography of Jackie Chan

Long before he became an international household name, Chinese superstar Jackie Chan had smashed box office records throughout Asia with his trademark mixture of action, humour and precisely choreographed stunts all performed by Jackie himself.

And in 1987, already a millionaire, the martial arts expert was ready to take America by storm with what turned out to be his breakthrough film in the West, Police Story. "After a few similar movies, the US audience will begin to know me," he predicted. "Then it will be Jackie, Jackie, Jackie all the way."

And the Rush Hour star born Chan Kwong Sang in Hong Kong on April 7, 1954 was right. But the path to global stardom proved a long one for the former stunt man, who, as legend has it, was nearly sold to the doctor who brought him into the world by his parents, who were desperate for food money. His mum and dad, however, eventually got back on their feet after finding jobs cooking and cleaning at the French consulate. "I actually have the French government to thank for my present-day physique," Jackie once said. "My father, as head cook, would always save the best cut of steak for me, his only child."

Aged six, Jackie moved with his family to the Australian capital of Canberra to work for the US consulate, but Chan junior was soon sent back to Hong Kong to study at the Chinese Opera Research Institute in Hong Kong. There, he faced gruelling days which started at 5am and ended at midnight, while undergoing rigorous training in singing, martial arts and acrobatics. 

By the late Sixties, after a visiting filmmaker offered him a job as stunt man in a Chinese action film, Jackie was taking on largely uncredited roles in films such as Bruce Lee'sEnter The Dragon and Fists Of Fury. After Lee's sudden death in 1973, one of his former directors, Lo Wei, cast Jackie in several films, aiming to promote him as the next incarnation of the icon. 

Jackie, however, had other ideas. "I wanted to be like a Chaplin or Buster Keaton, but all the martial arts directors wanted me to copy Bruce Lee. So after I got famous I started to change a lot of things... I decided, when Bruce Lee kicked high, I'd kick low. When Bruce Lee yowled, I'd punch doing a funny face like it hurt. Whatever Bruce Lee did, I'd do the opposite."

This blend of slapstick and action and the fact he performed all his own stunts helped him strike box office gold with his breakthrough hit Drunken Master in 1977. After briefly working Stateside in 1980 (he had a bit part in Burt Reynolds' road comedy Cannonball Run), Jackie spent the Eighties mining his winning streak in Asia, where his big-budget stints as both actor and director earned him the title "a local Steven Spielberg". 

He also became a major sex symbol; and many a female heart was broken when he married Taiwanese actress Len Feng-Chiao in 1983. The couple, who were briefly estranged in 1998 after Jackie had a child with former Miss Asia, Elaine Ng, has one son, aspiring singer Chan Cho-ming, also known as JC.
